Uric Acid

This test is used to detect high levels of uric acid in the blood, which could be a sign of the condition gout or to monitor uric acid levels when undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment.

Test Requirements

A fasting blood sample is needed.

Preparation for Your Test

Do not eat or drink anything but water 4 hours prior to your test.
Wear a short sleeved shirt or a shirt with sleeves that roll up easily.

Cost

The cost of this test is $10.00.
