Academic Information
Dr. Bendt grew up in Sioux Falls, SD, and graduated from South Dakota State University with a pharmacy degree. After practicing pharmacy, he decided to go to medical school at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. He attended the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology.
He finds obstetrics and gynecology exciting and enjoys delivering babies. He joined Rapid City Medical Center in 1998 but has been practicing in Rapid City for nearly thirty years. During that time, he has delivered over 9,000 babies. He is starting to deliver the babies of babies he’s delivered!
