Orthopedic Surgery
Dr. Mortimer is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in joint replacement, knee, shoulder, and sports medicine. Dr. Mortimer began practicing at Black Hills Orthopedic & Spine Center in 2008.
After completing his Bachelor of Arts with honors at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, Dr. Mortimer went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine in Vermillion, South Dakota.
Once he obtained his medical degree, Dr. Mortimer underwent a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.
After completing his residency, Dr. Mortimer completed his fellowship in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. Dr. Mortimer is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery with added qualification in orthopedic sports medicine. Dr. Luke Mortimer is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who is available to see patients in Rapid City, South Dakota; Gillette, Wyoming; and Spearfish, South Dakota.
